What is Flight Status Notification?

Flight Status Notification is a tool you can use to receive notification on the current status of your flight.

The following options are available for Flight Status Notification:

  • Voice message to your phone*
  • Email notification**
  • SMS Notification (Text Message)***
  • PUSH Notifications****

*Notification via voice messages may be sent to any 10 digit dial code with in the 50 United States or Puerto Rico, Bermuda, or Dominican Republic.

**Emails sent to mobile devices must be capable of receiving email messages and you must have an associated email account. The email address provided must follow the name@domain.com format and only letters, numbers, underscores, and one dot (.) is allowed.

Do I have to know the flight number to subscribe?
Yes, you must know the flight information to subscribe. If you are unsure of the flight number, please visit JetBlue’s Electronic Timetable to locate your flight information.

How do I sign up for flight notification?

Once you have accessed the Flight Notification Subscription Page, enter your flight information, provide your contact information, select your preferred method(s) of delivery, and click the 'Submit' button.


What type of device do I need to get a notification?

Email messages may be sent to a cell phone*, personal digital assistant* (PDA) or regular email account. Voice messages can be delivered to wireless phones or wired phones and are limited to numbers with in the 50 United States or Puerto Rico, Bermuda, the Bahamas or Dominican Republic. SMS Notifications must be sent to a valid 10 digit U.S. mobile phone number.

*Device must be capable of receiving email messages.


What type of flight information will I receive?

When you subscribe to Flight Status Notifications for a flight, you will receive ALL of the following (applicable) notifications for the flight:

  • Departures
  • Arrivals
  • Delays
  • Cancellations
  • Diversions
  • Gate Changes

Flight Number

Enter the flight number for any JetBlue Airways flight. We currently can only provide the flight status information on flights operated on a JetBlue aircraft. If you have a connecting flight on a different carrier we won't be able to provide notification on that specific flight.

City

Select the city your flight departs from or arrives into (based on your departure/arrival selection).

Date

Request notification for your JetBlue flight.

Time

Enter the hours and minutes of the departure time of your JetBlue flight.

What if I didn't receive my notification?
You should re-enter your information at Flight Notifications Subscription and verify that you have entered your correct contact information. If you still experience problems, contact your Service Provider to see if they are experiencing delays with their mail server. For email notifications, be sure to check your SPAM and JUNK filters.

SMS Terms and Conditions

All JetBlue SMS programs run on the code 538258 (JETBLU). JetBlue does not charge to use this service; however your wireless service provider may charge for sending and/or receiving messages and for air-time.

TERMS:
1. JetBlue provides Flight Status Notifications as SMS updates. While JetBlue does not charge for this service, you may be charged a fee to send and receive messages based on the terms of your wireless service agreement. All charges are billed by and payable to your wireless service provider. Check with your wireless service provider if you have questions about your wireless service plan.
2. JetBlue will not be liable for any delays in the receipt of any SMS messages as delivery is subject to effective transmission from your wireless service provider.
3. This service is available on the following carriers: Alltel, AT&T, Boost Mobile, CellCom, Cellular One, Centennial, Cellular South, Cincinnati Bell, Nextel, NTelos, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Verizon, Virgin Mobile.
